Sustainable development ?
- Sustainble development is
- a continuous process in progress
- a target to aim at rather than a state of fact, it is not a demarcation line
- It encourages continuity of actions and time
- Transformation concepts
- Sustainable development is defined by the degree of sustainability which must increase with time.
Sustainability ?
- Economic growth cannot equate to 0
- Any dynamics create disorder and imbalance
- The economy creates disorder in:
- The environment in terms of pollution or nuisances
- Social affairs in terms of the social exclusion or poverty of some citizens
- Sustainability is therefore the control of these disorders, but that means expense and brings the capacity for decision-making into play
