Eating out
From the typical trattoria to the food of great
chefs
Turin, one of the taste capitals of the world, boasts a
gastronomic tradition which has gained international
renown.
Chocolate was born in Turin, where the famous Giandujotti
(hazelnut flavoured chocolates), the gastronomic symbol of
the town, were invented.
Vermouth, one of the most common aperitifs, was invented in
Turin by Benedetto Carpano in 1786.
The Turin experience also means discovering some great white
and red wines: rich and full-bodied, sharp and aromatic.
