Haute-Savoie is home to around fifty museums, the variety of which is representative of the diversity and wealth of the cultural, natural and traditional heritage of the region. Add to that a dozen or more châteaux which are open to the public. The Haute-Savoie region also possesses a rich religious heritage, of which the abbey of Notre Dame d'Abondance, the church of Notre Dame de l'Assomption in Cordon, the Basilica of the Visitation in Annecy and the church of St Nicholas in Combloux etc. all form part.
