Thanks to the generous donations made by wealthy families at the end of the last century, Geneva has the largest surface area of parkland in Switzerland.

  • 825 acres of parks (20 % of the town area)
  • 40'000 trees and 40'000 rose trees, which make Geneva the rose capital
  • 7'500 acres of forests
  • 3'750 acres of vineyards

From the Mont-Blanc bridge to the Botanical Garden, one can cross the city without interfering with the road traffic, walking for more than 3 miles among trees and bushes.
