The Chamonix valley harbours an almost infinite number of sporting activities. The infrastructure and equipment of the footpaths and walkways along with the gîtes and mountain huts, offers the best conditions in which to carry out these sports.

Ski-ing
The existing lift systems play a major role with the tourist facilities available in the valley.
At present the list consists of :
the ski runs of Brèvent-Flégère,
the ski runs of Grands Montets,
the ski runs of the Balme,
the Montenvers railway and the cable-cars giving access to the 'Mer de Glace',
the Aiguille du Midi cable-car,
The lower valley ski runs (Planards, Savoy..).

Cross-country ski-ing
Approximately 45 km, spread out between Chamonix & Argentière
